In this episode of Dachny Otvet, the attic floor was given a new lease of life. What was once unused space beneath the roof slopes has been transformed into a fully functional home office with a guest area, where classic English aesthetics meet modern storage solutions.
The key challenge of the project was making the most of the room's complex geometry. The lowest section of the attic was converted into a spacious storage system made from Lamarty laminated particleboard in the Rein décor. Pull-out storage units provide easy access to every item while efficiently utilizing an area that would otherwise remain unused. This solution maximizes storage capacity while maintaining a clean, cohesive interior.
The classic panelled fronts echo the rhythm of the decorative wall panels, allowing the storage system to blend seamlessly into the architecture of the room rather than appear as a separate furniture element. The understated Rаin décor used on the interior surfaces complements the calm colour palette of the English-inspired interior, enhancing its refined and timeless character.
The main part of the room features a workspace designed for online consultations, a comfortable armchair, a compact laptop table, and a sofa bed that easily converts into a full-size guest bed whenever needed.
The interior is completed with decorative wall panels, classic-patterned wallpaper, restored vintage furniture, and a treasured family heirloom — an antique suitcase repurposed as a unique coffee table with built-in storage.
The project also includes modern lighting, a comfortable workstation for remote work, and high-quality finishes that ensure everyday comfort and practicality.
This project clearly demonstrates how well-designed furniture solutions can transform spaces with challenging geometry into functional and elegant interiors. The pull-out storage systems make full use of the space beneath the roof slopes while preserving a sense of order, lightness, and classic harmony.
