In the project Kvartirny Vopros a space of only 12 m² received a completely new meaning. The interior, inspired by the atmosphere of a traditional Dutch house, combines minimalism, a light palette and respect for family values. Thanks to a thoughtful redevelopment, the living room and dining room have become a single, bright and maximally functional space.
The basis of the storage system was Lamarty laminated chipboard furniture in the decor “White”. Tall shelving, spacious pencil cases and mezzanine cabinets visually frame the entrance to the living room, creating a solid architectural composition. Light decor makes the furniture almost weightless, visually expands the room and enhances the feeling of natural light, which is especially important for a compact space.
Each storage element performs several tasks at once. Spacious cabinets help rationally use the height of the room, open sections turn the library into a full-fledged part of the interior, and the mezzanine level provides additional space for rarely used items. For convenient access to the upper shelves, a mobile library ladder is provided, which at the same time has become an expressive detail of the space.
A special character is given to the racks by shelves made of plywood Syply Birch Top, coated with white paint. This solution preserves the strength and reliability of the material, while maintaining a light palette of the interior and creating a neat, cohesive visual image.
The main decorative accent was a classic sideboard with artistic painting inspired by traditional Dutch ceramics. It has turned into a real art object, while maintaining its practicality: behind the glass facades there is a family collection of vintage dishes, which has become part of the overall interior composition.
The center of the dining area has become a round dining table, uniting the family and not overloading the small room. The relaxation area was complemented by a soft sofa, an ottoman, a comfortable reading place next to the library and carefully selected textiles that made the interior even more cozy.
The technical equipment of the project succinctly supports the overall concept. The space is equipped with a sliding door system, glass doors between the kitchen and living room, modern multi-level lighting with rotating lamps, reading sconces and a sleek pendant over the dining table.
The result is an interior where every detail has its own purpose. The project became an example of how functional materials make it possible to create interiors in which modern comfort is organically combined with family history and the atmosphere of a real home.
