A multifunctional room for a family with a child combines a bedroom, a workspace, and a guest area. The interior with Moroccan motifs is complemented by case furniture in the Sonoma Oak decor, which became the basis for a comfortable and cohesive solution.

A room in need of renovation had to perform several functions at once: serve as a bedroom for the parents, a home office for the father, a space for the child’s activities, and an area for receiving guests. The elongated rectangular shape of the room required precise visual solutions to make the interior feel more spacious and comfortable. Mirrors placed on both sides of the arch visually widened the space and added depth.

The color palette is built on a contrast between warm sandy tones and cool blue — a combination typical of Moroccan architecture, where sunlit walls are paired with blue windows and doors. The deep blue references the famous city of Chefchaouen, while subtle orange and blue accents enhance the image without overwhelming the interior.

The sleeping area is separated by an arch — a soft and expressive zoning technique that avoids solid partitions. The arch is clad in tiles that imitate handmade molding. Their vertical layout visually elongates the space, while the textured surface refers to southern traditions, where such finishes are often used even in living areas.

Special attention in the project is given to furniture. On both sides of the window, modules made of Lamarty laminated chipboard in the Sonoma Oak decor, produced by the Syktyvkar Plywood Mill, are installed. The same material is used for shelving units and the workspace. The natural wood texture adds warmth to the interior and balances the rich color accents. The wardrobe features louvered fronts that preserve visual lightness and provide ventilation, while the drawers are finished with matching blue fronts. Open shelving with integrated lighting completes the storage system.

A height-adjustable transformer table with an electric drive fits neatly under the window. Its tabletop, also made of Sonoma Oak laminated chipboard, forms a single cohesive surface together with the cabinets and the windowsill. Even when repositioned, the composition remains visually complete, making the solution suitable for both work and family gatherings.

The wardrobe follows the same principle of combining functionality with a strong visual identity. Its internal frame and storage system are made of Lamarty laminated chipboard in the Sonoma Oak decor, ensuring durability and a unified visual rhythm. On the outside, the wardrobe is finished with ventilated fronts painted in a rich blue color, supporting both air circulation and the Moroccan color palette.

Due to the low ceiling height, the ceiling was unified in color with the walls. In the center, a circular sun motif created with gold leaf appears — a symbol of warmth and abundance often found in Moroccan interiors. Artist handcrafted the relief and achieved a soft golden glow with a protective finish.

Rounded forms, fringe on the curtains, a rattan side table, and a mosaic panel with arches add subtle Eastern accents without literal stylization. Books from the family library and the child’s artwork bring life and individuality to the space.

As a result, the project delivers a modern, warm, and functional interior for a young family.
