The interior of the kitchen and living room of this country house combines calm, cozy minimalism and images of flight, inspired by the aesthetics of aviation. Two initially separate rooms - the kitchen-dining room and the living room - are united visually and conceptually thanks to the common idea of movement, light and soft technology. Designer Andrey Volkov did not radically change the layout, maintaining the natural division of zones, but filled them with a new mood: as if an invisible aerial perspective had appeared between them.
Light gray matte walls, decorative stone with graphite and mustard veins, porcelain tiles on the floor and a voluminous ceiling with illuminated lines created a clean, calm background, against which aviation motifs sound only a subtle association, without disturbing the home comfort.
Natural textures maintain a balance between a technological idea and soft minimalism. On the wall where the TV area is located, Lamarty laminated chipboard panels in a dark wood decor “Odyssey” were installed. All the recesses for the beams and staircase ledges were calculated and cut out in advance in production, so the panels lay smoothly and flawlessly, forming a solid, laconic plane. Nearby, we assembled a strict shelving unit made of Lamarty chipboard in black on metal stands - it emphasizes the height of the room and adds graphic structure.
When decorating the space, it was important to achieve not only aesthetic integrity, but also a competent constructive solution, especially in the area where the TV panel and wall furniture are located. In these places we used SyPly rough plywood - as a strong rough base that can withstand loads and ensure accurate geometry during installation. It is hidden under decorative surfaces, but it is on it that the neatness of the joints, the clear fit of the panels and the durability of the structure as a whole rely. Such a reliable inner layer avoided distortions and prepared an ideal base for finishing.
A transformable table and a modular sofa with matting upholstery appeared in the living room, filling the space with softness. The adjacent room houses a kitchen unit and a dining table, which is surrounded by comfortable chairs with metal legs. Between the two zones, a Finnish fireplace stove made of natural stone is organically located - safe, neat and does not require significant indentations from wooden structures, which made it possible to fit it in without compromising the layout.
The main accent of the interior was the airship, invented by the author of the project. It seems to float under the ceiling, maintaining a mood of lightness and movement. It is these details - light lines, graphic designs, thoughtful furniture geometry and special objects - that enliven the space and turn the house into a place where you want to spend time.
