Blending functionality with warmth, the interior unites modern ergonomics, thoughtful detailing, and a deep reverence for tradition.

This new project for a young family is all about balance — between functionality and comfort, between bright minimalism and decorative accents, between the fast pace of city life and a deep respect for cultural heritage.

The designer based the interior on a clean white palette: it opens up the space, brings in lightness and air, and serves as a neutral backdrop for meaningful details. The entire apartment is unified by calm tones, while elements of decorative folk art add individuality — like the bright red berries on the wall, inspired by traditional patterns.

The "Kvartirny Vopros" team continued the zoning concept initiated by the homeowners: instead of a solid wall between the living room and bedroom, they used a full-height translucent partition, allowing light to flow through and visually raising the ceilings. A light partition made of perforated plywood in a metal frame marks the entryway. Nearby, a functional unit houses storage for coats, shoes, and other daily essentials.

In the hallway and utility area, the designers used Lamarty Volcanic Grey chipboard, which elegantly echoes the tones of the walls and tiles. Mirrored end-panel doors enhance the feeling of light and openness. A special detail — custom ceramic handles.

In the bedroom, the wardrobe area is highlighted with a deep navy-blue accent wall and a textile partition. The bed is upholstered in cream-colored bouclé, and the headboard is mounted directly onto the dresser panel, making the furniture feel integrated into the architectural lines of the room.

A key element of storage and zoning is the furniture made from Lamarty chipboard. In the bedroom, a narrow floating cabinet with an integrated desk in the light grey Teffy décor creates a modern and airy workspace. A dresser in the same shade subtly transitions the space from the sleeping area to the wardrobe zone and includes six spacious drawers with soft-close mechanisms.

The living room features a full-scale storage system with ceiling-height overhead cabinets. One of the units was custom-designed to create a cozy nook for the family’s ginger cat, Lev Yurievich. The composition is built from handleless, minimalist cabinets — smooth white Lamarty fronts convey lightness and cleanliness, while open sections reveal the warm, soft-grey Teffy décor underneath, adding visual depth. A decorative panel with a pattern reminiscent of traditional wooden shingle designs ties everything together, giving the solution a cohesive, restrained, yet striking look.

The textiles and finishes reflect a handcrafted aesthetic: all curtains, macramé, and even the decorative curtain in the wardrobe were custom-made specifically for the project.

To maximize sleeping arrangements, the team added a sofa with a French folding mechanism and a sculptural armchair. The living room wardrobe is enhanced with a rail-mounted storage system, creating a space that feels balanced and comfortable for every family member — including the fluffiest ones.
