The living room of this house was created in close connection with its history: the central element of the space was an old stove, which was transformed into a modern fireplace. It became not only a functional feature but also a visual centerpiece, around which the zoning was built — a lively area for watching movies and a quieter corner for rest and conversation.
To fill the room with natural light, the window openings were enlarged. New energy-efficient windows were installed, and the ceiling, clad in faux timber, was complemented with decorative beams mounted on pine battens. In this bright, textured architecture, Lamarty chipboard furniture became a striking accent.
A cabinet in the bold red Chili décor appeared in the space between the fireplace and the wall. Its clean lines and flush door made the unit almost invisible. For books and souvenirs, an open shelving unit in the Calypso décor was installed — its wood-inspired texture strongly pronounced. LED lighting enhances the depth of the textures and adds a warm ambiance.
An additional shelving unit with a countertop — combining the functions of a mini-bar and a workspace — completes the functional layout of the room. It features open upper shelves and closed lower compartments, maintaining both practicality and visual harmony.
The interior is complemented by soft, rounded sofas, tactile textiles, hand-painted decorative trays, and a traditional "babushka" rug with tassels — all of which create the feel of a modern yet soulful Russian home, where every detail is thoughtful and in its rightful place.
