The kitchen-living room has become a space that unites the entire family — a place where meals are prepared, conversations flow, movies are watched, board games are played, and life simply unfolds. The main idea was to make the space as vibrant as the family itself, while ensuring it remains exceptionally comfortable for shared leisure.
The room’s elongated geometry allowed the designer to create two fully functional zones: the kitchen and the living area. To maintain a cohesive spatial perception and avoid visual overload, a glass partition was used, combining textured transparent and smooth colored glass. This solution divides the space visually, yet preserves a sense of openness, light, and airiness.
The kitchen zone is arranged with strict symmetry along the central axis. Sleek cabinetry in the Teffi decor runs along one wall, made from laminated chipboard Lamarty in decor Teffy with a matte embossed texture that gives the surfaces a deep and refined appearance. The upper cabinet fronts are aged mirrors in slim silver frames, which not only enhance the sense of space and light but also reflect the vintage chandeliers above the kitchen island, amplifying the atmosphere of timeless elegance. At the heart of the kitchen is a multifunctional island: it serves as a dining table, an extra work surface, and a stage for the hostess’s culinary blog videos. This is where the recipes are born that she generously shares with her followers.
The living area is thoughtfully designed with a focus on family traditions. A cozy sofa and two armchairs by the coffee table create an ideal setting for games, conversation, and relaxation. The centerpiece is a custom-designed storage unit made from 12 mm SyPly birch plywood, crafted according to the designer's sketches. This material was chosen deliberately — it's durable, eco-friendly, and naturally beautiful. The plywood was finished with a semi-matte protective coating and light tinting, preserving its natural texture while adding warmth to the space.
At the center of the composition is a large television, and below it, a built-in electric fireplace with decorative logs and clear crystals — the fulfillment of the family head’s dream. It’s more than just an appliance; it’s a symbol of comfort, a focal point, an emotional anchor of the home. Refined accents complete the interior: a separate vintage cabinet for tea ceremonies, a white tea table tucked into a kitchen corner for cozy evening gatherings, and a pair of slender-legged side tables in the living room that add a sense of lightness to the overall composition.
