This interior brings together seemingly contradictory qualities — ruggedness and comfort, strict English classicism and vibrant family warmth.

The design concept was born from the clients’ dream: to create a space where the atmosphere of an English pub would not be quoted directly, but subtly woven into the details of the interior.

Instead of radical changes to the layout, the project features carefully considered solutions that make the space truly functional. Light walls and a rounded gypsum cornice visually expand the height, adding an airy feeling to the rooms. The living room furniture is built-in, with dark-colored fronts that reference the wood-paneled walls typical of English classical interiors. This approach evokes a sense of refinement without unnecessary heaviness.

The kitchen cabinets are made from high-quality laminated chipboard by Lamarty, with a formaldehyde emission class of E0.5, in the warm and elegant Teffy decor. The MDF fronts are in a deep chocolate tone. The upper cabinets reach the ceiling, making full use of vertical space — a practical solution for a large family and a visually appealing technique that elongates the walls.

A key element of the kitchen is the bar table. Its two-level design is a direct nod to the iconic layout of a traditional English pub: the higher part functions as a cooking zone, while the lower, semi-bar height is perfect for casual family gatherings in a warm, homely setting.

In the living room, the kitchen visually flows into a series of low cabinets that transition seamlessly into the windowsill. This structure is made from SyPly plywood, intended for painting, and finished in a warm brown hue that matches the fronts. The use of plywood is deliberate — its durability under daily use makes it an ideal material for hybrid elements that unite aesthetics with functionality. The radiator is concealed behind a matching plywood grille, painted in the same tone, so it becomes a cohesive part of the design rather than a technical necessity. Chipboard fronts in the Arabica decor complete the furniture ensemble.

On either side of the window, floor-to-ceiling storage columns made from birch plywood under paint rise up. Their pre-prepped surface made it easy to apply the desired finish. These structures not only serve as storage but also visually zone the space, giving the living room architectural completeness.

Open and closed storage systems are thoughtfully distributed throughout the space, in harmony with the rhythm of family life. A niche in the living room houses a display cabinet made from Lamarty chipboard in the Teffy decor. Behind the glass doors with classic framing are cherished memorabilia and treasured items. In the corridor, a shoe cabinet with glass fronts was installed. A secondary bathroom was also converted into a dedicated storage area.

In the entryway, Lamarty chipboard wardrobes in the Arabica decor seem to dissolve into the walls. The rich chocolate tone sets a welcoming mood at the entrance and eases the transition into the brighter kitchen area.

The final touches include a nature-inspired wall fresco in the corridor and carefully chosen elements that personalize the space — family photographs and a decorative stripe on the wall in the colors of the Spartak football club flag.
